RECIPE: Pakora Dipping Sauce

I've always loved Pakora! Especially during Ramadan.

But I always felt it was missing a sauce or something. So I did my research and found that in Pakistani cuisine, a sauce does exist for pakora. So, I mixed and matched ingredients from different online recipes and here's what I came up with...

Ingredients
1 medium-sized yogurt package (175 grams)
1 table spoon ketchup
1.5 table spoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tea spoons chili powder
1 tea spoon cumin powder
chopped mint (about 10 leaves)
 2 tea spoons lemon juice
salt & pepper to taste

Directions
Mix all ingredients in a bowel and serve chilled.

The result was perfect. I'd definitely make this dipping sauce again!

A's Pasta Salad

Last semester, I was in love with the university's make-your-own salad bar. I'd have a salad almost everyday for lunch. Today I decided to make the same salad for dinner. It turned out great! I should've waited a little longer for the pasta to cool completely first though (the top was cool but there were a few warm ones at the bottom). This resulted in soggy lettuce. So don't make the same mistakes I did!

Ingredients:
cooked fussily pasta (drained) – American lettuce – broccoli – feta cheese – cucumbers – sweet corn -  green olives – ranch dressing – Italian dressing – salt and pepper – Tuna (optional)

Mix ingredients together in a bowl and serve.

p.s. the the portion of each ingredient depends on how big you want the salad or how big the bowl you're going to use.

Bon appetite!

RECIPE: The Vanilla-Banana Milkshake

This milkshake tastes SO good, plus its very healthy! I might try adding strawberries next time, or other types of fruit. Here's the basic recipe to serve 3-4 persons (there was a little left over; depends on the serving glass).

Ingridients:
- 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- 3 bananas
- 1 heaped tablespoon of Horlicks
- a splash or two of milk

Directions:
1. Cut the banana into pieces and add to blender
2. Add a splash of milk and the spoonful of Horlicks then blend a little
3. Add the 1 scoop of ice cream blend a little, then add the other scoop, and so on...
4. Make sure everything is blended well using a spoon
5. Use some banana pieces as garnish for the glasses (I used desert glasses because they look pretty)
6. Enjoy!!
